About Me

Hi! I’m Dr. Yanique Rolingson, an educator with over 18 years of experience in the classroom and beyond. I hold a master’s and a doctorate in leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. My leadership is rooted in a strong commitment to transforming school culture, promoting equity, and fostering strong relationships. This passion inspired me to co-create the Check and Connect mentoring program with my colleague and friend, Dr. Kristi Love, an educator dedicated to empowering students and teachers through culturally responsive strategies and transformative leadership. We launched the program to support students at risk of falling through the cracks. My doctoral research examined the relationship between student suspension and academic achievement, driven by the belief that students belong in classrooms, not out of them.

Today, I help teachers utilize the S.N.A.P. Framework™ (Stop. Notice. Act. Plan.): a practical, faith-infused tool that not only resets classroom behavior, strengthens student-teacher relationships, and fosters learning environments where every student can thrive, but also guides their approach to every situation. Whether engaging with a parent, collaborating with a colleague, supporting a student, or navigating their internal challenges, S.N.A.P. provides a grounded, reflective approach to lead with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

This space was created for teachers like you, those who may feel exhausted, unseen, or unsure if their calling still matters. While my personal faith deeply influences this work, the S.N.A.P. Framework™ is for every educator. You don’t need to be a Christian or spiritual to benefit from it. It’s a practical mindset tool designed to help you lead with intention, understanding, and empathy, regardless of what you're facing. Whether you’re seeking encouragement, strategy, or simply a quiet space to breathe, you belong here.

For nearly 20 years, I've walked with educators through both their most fulfilling moments and their most challenging seasons, and I’ve come to see the importance of safe, restorative spaces, places where teachers can pause, reflect, and feel renewed.

Through stories, Scripture, and honest reflection, I hope this space reminds you: your work is meaningful, your voice matters, and you are never alone. Whether you’re thriving or just barely holding on, you are seen, valued, and welcome here.
